Dear clients and partners,
The Covid-19 virus has progressively affected modes of transport across the world, but does not currently stop yachts from their need to move.
Navigation continues for either scheduled or newly considered relocation, getting out of winter berths, moving to and from a yard or general forward planning.
Our offices are well located around the European Mediterranean coastline and all your AGents offices are keeping up to date with any developments, rules and regulations and can guide you through the local protocol and obligations.
The general message from all authorities is due diligence and to have a valid Ship Sanitation Exemption Certificate (SSEC) ready 48 hours prior to arrival from international voyages.
This applies either to all boats +24m LOA, all boats carrying passengers or all international voyages depending on each local authority.
You may not have needed an SSEC before but may now need to seek assistance to get the document issued. Some inspectors are more occupied than others, and we suggest a check up of validity of your SSEC in due time before any scheduled movement; and if never issued, get in contact with your local AGents office to see what can be done.
As ever, we are on hand to assist and can of course also help with berth requirements if you are looking to relocate.
Please don't hesitate to get in touch with us.
